Georges Schneider was born in Luxembourg. During his engineering training in the steel industry, he developed his passion for photography. He began working as a freelancer for various daily newspapers and magazines. After he moved to Vienna, Austria, in the early 1990s, he worked as a picture editor and photographer for the Austrian Press Agency (APA). At the end of the 1990s, he became a freelancer again and co-founded the photo laboratory "cyberlab.at". Since 2003 he has been operating his own photo agency: "www.photonews.at".
